site expands, they choose to upgrade to our Standard or Professional accounts
free of charge.
The features included with your Basic account are explained in further
detail below:
Technical Support
Your server will be monitored and restarted to maintain a 99% uptime, however technical phone support is not
offered to users signing up for the Basic package.
Virtual Domain Name
Your Virtual Domain Name will allow visitors to easily remember and
access your site by typing in the url www.yourdomain.com. Where 'yourdomain'
can be anything. (www.hostsolutions.com) (There is a $20 fee per year for
registering a new domain name)
1,000MB of Disk Space
For most web site, 100MB of space is plenty to hold your entire site's graphics,
html pages, files, and more. (Additional space can be purchased at $15/100MB of space each month)
40GB/month transfer
Your site will be allowed to transfer data up to 40-gigabytes each month.
This averages out to approximately 40,000,000 hits/month. The majority of the
site's that we host don't go over this limit. (If you go over
you will be charged an extra $2/1GB of transfer/month)
FTP Logon Access
You will be able to connect to your server using the program Fetch, to
upload and download your files to your site. This offers you the
advantage to update your site in real-time.
Anonymous FTP
You can post files on your public FTP directory so that other people can download them
without restricted authorization. This is perfect for software developers or print shops
that need customers to be able to access files.
Daily Visitor Reports
Each night our server will process your raw visitor data log and create a report using
Urchin.
Reports include Daily Visitors, Weekly Visitors, Transfer,
Refferer, Client Info, and more. (You must manually request that we setup Urchin for your account if you want online visitor reports. It's free!)
50 Email Accounts
You will have LIVE access to create, edit and delete your email accounts and email aliases.
Email (POP) accounts collect your new email messages on the server so you can login and read them.
Email alias accounts allow you to forward email messages sent to one email account to another
email account. You will also have access to webmail using SquirellMail, so you can check your
email from any browser anywhere in the world.
Majordomo Email Lists
Instead of having your list of subscribers in your email client, you can use our powerful
Majordomo email listserve to send out mass email messages to users that you add to the list.
Backup/Restore
Within your LIVE login control panel, you will have the option to manually backup and restore your
files to protect against loss of data in the future. Note: Backups use your designated account space.
Frontpage Extensions
Microsoft Frontpage Extensions give users of Frontpage enhanced dynamic connectivity with their
WYSIWYG webpage editor. These are installed by default and can be removed at your request.
LIVE login control panel
When you sign up for hosting at Host Solutions, you will receive access to a very powerful
Cpanel solution. It allows you to manage your user accounts, email addresses,
FTP server, visitor reports, website space usage, bandwidth transfer, mailing lists, MySQL databases,
backup/restore features and more. You can even manage your site's files with your browser
without logging into FTP.
